Taking Flight
Mama Hawk is launching a new blog.
She began flitting about the blogosphere earlier this year, when she dedicated No Star Like Thee to her new nestling, Jeremy. Because Jeremy is Mama Hawk's new favorite subject to write about and photograph, it has been a complete joy to keep her bird's eye focused on him in that venue.
At times, though, it has tested Mama Hawk's discipline. The blog has reawakened her lens and her virtual pen, and she has been sorely tempted at times to stray from the object of her fledgling blog. Of course, to honor Jeremy, she has remained true to her original intent. Even if it meant keeping a lid on her feelings about all other things great and small, including the 24/7 Pope Watch, Katrina, Harriet and other moments in the chronicle of our collective history worth commenting on, or the myriad precious moments in her mostly ordinary life.
[Switching to first person.] I got tagged yesterday. A fellow blog friend challenged me to a blog game, and to play it in Jeremy's space would have strayed too far from him. So, I am somewhat hesitantly hatching this new space. While my thoughts and energy are inordinately devoted to Jeremy, there are other ideas that swirl in my brain, even if they don't fully mature, mostly. If I stumble upon those non-Jeremy inspirations that are worth sharing, I will do so here.
